Award for iris recognition system for mobile broker
1 December 2011. Once again our innovative flair was recognised internationally at the Financial World Innovation Awards 2011 held in London. On this occasion the award was for the iris recognition as PIN application for the mobile broker.
María Dolores Dancausa, finalist in Tintero Awards
29 November 2011. The Tintero and Secante awards, presented by the Association of Economic Journalists, express journalists' recognition of people in the business world who help them to carry out their duty to inform.
Runner-up prize in the Awards for the Rationalisation of Spanish Working Hours
16 November 2011. The Awards for the rationalisation of Spanish working hours are granted by the National Congress for the Rationalisation of Spanish Working Hours. The objectives of this congress are to raise awareness in all sectors of Spanish society, and particularly among businesses, of the need to make better use of time and to rationalise working hours and make them more flexible to bring them into line with other European countries.
Cegos award for training programme in sign language
14 November 2011. Bankinter was recognised in the Tea-Cegos and Equipos&Talento Awards for Best Practices in Human Resources 2011 in the Training and Development category, for its training programme in sign language.

Company committed to equility
31/08/2011. Gijón City Council has acknowledged Bankinter as Company committed to equality. In addition to the acknowledgment, a list with 55 companies that include gender equality policies in their business management, was presented.

30/07/2011. ''Global Finance'' has acknowledged Bankinter as the Best Consumer Internet Bank in Spain. This acknowledgment awards the captation of new customers in the Internet, products offered and the functionability and design in our website.
Best Legal Department in Spain 2011
23/06/2011. The Bankinter legal department has won the gold medal for the Best Legal Department in Spain pertaining to a company in the 2011 edition of the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards, which have introduced the Best Legal Department category for the first time.
The award for the Best Legal Department in Spain was received by Íñigo Guerra, Bankinter's Secretary General.
Ecofin Award
09/06/2011.In the Ecofin 'Titans of Finance' awards, the Bankinter Control and Recovery Area was acknowledged for its excellent risk management and default ratio.
The jury also highlighted María Dolores Dancausa, a finalist in the Best Financier category for 2011, as new head of Bankinter.

SIC Award to Julio San Jose
28/04/2011. Our colleague Julio San José, the Technological Risk and Computing Security Manager, was acknowledged by SIC Magazine in the 8th Information Security Awards for his 'outstanding professional career, focusing on information security, with emphasis on his work in the financial sector and in the areas of dissemination, training and standardisation'.
Video call in sign language, one of the best ideas of the year
28/04/2011. The Actualidad Económica magazine has defined the video call service in sign language as one of the 100 Best Ideas of the Year. As highlighted by the magazine's editor, these awards acknowledge innovation and human inventiveness, which is the driving force behind progress. The ceremony ended with a speech by Ignacio Lozano, Distance Networks Manager.

The twentieth edition of the awards ceremony, which is always on the agenda of Spanish authorities and executives, was held this year, with Mrs. Dancausa being rewarded for her excellent professional career..
María Dolores Dancausa, among the Top 100 Spanish Women Leaders
13/04/2011. Our CEO was chosen by the Mujeres & Cía portal, an information portal of reference for female entrepreneurs and executives, as one of the Top 100 Spanish Women Leaders in its first edition. The list was selected by a large jury from more than 500 proposals. Dancausa was distinguished in the influential executive category, together with Amparo Moraleda (Iberdrola), Carmen Becerril (Acciona) and María Garaña (Microsoft), among others.
On the Best Workplaces list for the 8th consecutive year
12/04/2011. The Best Workplaces list is the international quality standard of the best workplaces. This year Bankinter ranks 7th in the category of companies with more than 1000 employees, and once again it is the only bank on the list.
The best workplaces in Spain, by number of employees, are Atento (more than 1,000), Microsoft (500 to 1,000), Cisco (250 to 500), (100 to 250) and Bain & Company Ibérica (50 to 100).
Rubén Muñoz, Managing Director of Gneis, CTO of the year
01/04/2011. The Dintel Alta Dirección Awards have acknowledged Rubén Muñoz as the CTO of the year in 2011 (Technology and Operations Manager).This award is for Gneis and all of Bankinter. Gneis helps the bank achieve its business targets by providing optimal quality of service in the field of technology, simplifying, specialising and automating our operational processes on the basis of innovation and the new technologies.
Our innovation in legal practices acknowledged
24/03/2011. At the International Legal Forum organised in Lisbon by Iberian Lawyer with the collaboration of the Financial Times 'Innovative Lawyers Report', Bankinter was acknowledged as having the most innovative legal practices for the manner in which, since the onset of the crisis, it has dealt with customer complaints related to investments in financial products or the contracting of banking products. As a particularly original legal practice, the forum acknowledged the Bankinter initiative of creating an external committee of well-known legal experts responsible for analysing clients' exceptional complaints related to investments in financial products and Bankinter's ethical approach in general when solving disputes with clients. The award was received by Íñigo Guerra, the bank's Secretary General.
Award for our video call service in sign language
21/01/2011. The Consell de Mallorca has given Bankinter one of the universal accessibility awards, in the category of accessibility in the information society and new technologies, for its video call service in sign language. During the ceremony, the president of the Consell, Francina Armengol, congratulated all award winners 'for their contribution to a more accessible society with universally guaranteed rights for all'.
