Pedro Guerrero Guerrero (Chairman)
Born in 1953. Law Degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is a State Lawyer, Exchange Agent and Stockbroker and Madrid Notary (On leave). He was President of the Governing Company of the Madrid Stock Market and of the Stock Market Company. Founding Member and Vice-President of A.B. Asesores Bursátiles, S.A. and President of A.B. Asesores Gestión and A.B. Asesores Red. He is Vice-president and Director of Prosegur Cash, S.A. since March 2005. Currently, he is also the Director of Línea Directa Aseguradora. He has been President of the Organisation since March 2007.
María Dolores Dancausa Treviño (Chief Executive Officer)

María Dolores Dancausa since October 2010 she has held the post of Managing Director of Bankinter, one of the leading financial institutions in Spain.
Holding a degree in Law from the University of San Pablo Ceu, she has also studied on a number of Management Programmes at Harvard Business School, and an AMP (Advanced Management Programme) at the INSEAD Business School (Fontainebleau).
Throughout her career, she has worked in the financial sector, first at Banco Exterior and then at Bankinter. When Línea Directa Aseguradora was created in 1994, she was appointed General Secretary of the Management Board, a role she held until 2008 when she became Managing Director. Following her appointment as Managing Director of Bankinter she continues to sit on the Board of Direct Line, as well as sitting on the Steering Committee of the APD (Spanish initials for the Association for Management Progress). Since 2013 until 2018, she was a non executive director of Esure, a leading UK insurance Company.
Formed in 1989. Its business goal is the buying and selling and ownership of stocks and shares, business investment and other financial assets. The company was named Bank Director in 1997.
Alfonso Botín-Sanz de Sautuola y Naveda (representing CARTIVAL, S.A.)
Born in 1970. Graduated Magna Cum Laude in Economics and Classic Civilizations from Boston University. Worked at Salomon Brothers, Corporate Finance and M&A, until 1995. Since 1995, he has managed several Bankinter areas within the Banking Businesses Division and was the person in charge of creating the Capital Risk Division. He is currently the President of Línea Directa Aseguradora, S.A. Insurance and Reinsurance Company.
Marcelino Botín-Sanz de Sautuola y Naveda
Born in 1962. Graduated with a degree in Naval Architecture and Yacht Design from Southampton University, England (1994). Designed leisure craft at his control company Astilleros Mouro, S.L. He is also currently the President of Aleph SCR, S.A. He was the representative of the Director CARTIVAL, S.A. on the Bankinter Board of Directors from 1997 to 2005.
Fernando Masaveu Herrero
Graduated with a Law Degree from the Universidad de Navarra. He was Director of the Banco Herrero y Rioja Alta, S.A. He was also Vice-President of the Patronal Cementera Española OFICEMEN and of the Instituto Español del Cemento y sus Aplicaciones. He joined the Masaveu Group in 1993, where he has fulfilled various roles, currently occupying the Presidency of the Group, as well as the Executive Presidency of the Corporación Masaveu, S.A. and the General Administration and Presidency of the Company Tudela Veguin, S.A. he is the President of the Comisión de Auditoría de Hidroelectrica del Cantábrico, S.A. He is also the President of the Fundación Masaveu and of the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson. He represents the Masaveu Group in numerous domestic and international Companies, Foundations and Corporations. He is the Director and a member of the Executive Committee of the Prince of Asturias Foundation.

Rafael Mateu de Ros Cerezo
Born in 1953. Law Degree with a special distinction. Doctor of Law from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and graduate of the Harvard PMD programme. Government lawyer (on extended leave of absence).
He is currently a director of Línea Directa Aseguradora, S.A. and a trustee of Bankinter's Fundación para la Innovación and of the AMREF Foundation. He is also a professor of Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, a partner of the Ramón & Cajal Abogados law firm, and a member of the Madrid Bar Association. The author of many works on Company Law, Banking Law, New Technology Law and Corporate Governance.
Maria Teresa Pulido Mendoza
Born in 1964 Graduating with honours in Economics from Columbia University, and with an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, María Teresa Pulido Mendoza has over twenty years of experience in strategic consulting (McKinsey & Co) as well as private banking and corporate banking (Citi and Deutsche Bank). She has worked mainly on business development, restructuring and change management projects for these companies. Since April 2011 she has been the Manager of Corporate Strategy for Ferrovial.
Teresa Martín-Retortillo Rubio
Born in 1967. A graduate from the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF) affiliated to Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with a degree in business administration with a double concentration in auditing and finance. MBA from Harvard Business School (1995). Executive president of IE Exponential Learning (including IE?s executive education division) since September 2016. Prior to this, she was senior vice-president of strategy and business development at McGraw-Hill Education in the US. Before working in education, she had been a partner with the global management consulting firm, Bain & Company, where she worked for 19 years and held several leadership positions in both Madrid and the US, with a special focus on investment advice (risk capital and mergers and acquisitions). She also worked at Goldman Sachs as a corporate finance analyst in London.
Álvaro Álvarez-Alonso Plaza.
Born in 1953.His extensive experience on the boards of various companies like FOCSA (now FCC), FILO (a listed property development company), BANCAPITAL, as vice-chair of the board, HEINEKEN ESPAÑA, Europistas, Eurovías y Autopistas del Sol (as proprietary director of JOHN LANG INVESTMENTS) is notable. He also has a wide range of expertise in investment banking, as the chair of the first MERRILL LYNCH office outside the US in Spain, where he worked for over 15 with various duties, gaining experience in M&A, equities, private equity consulting and financial investments. Furthermore, while he was co-director of the Madrid office of the North American company, E.F. HUTTON & CO., the company set up the first futures trades in Spain. He was also a founder of IBERMER, a firm specialised in investment banking and private equity transactions and held the post of vice-chair of the board of BANCAPITAL, a holding company of Commercial Bank, until it was sold to BANQUE INDOSUEZ. As relates to other industries and sectors, he has experience in the audio-visual industry. He consulted for Canal+, a company that also invested in the area of contents, when it set up operations in Spain. He also has experience as a consultant and adviser to TEXACO for its operations in Spain is also well respected, as he chaired the board of EL ÁGUILA cervezas and vice-chaired HEINEKEN ESPAÑA for 18 years.
María Luisa Jordá Castro.
She holds a degree in Business Science and a master's degree in Business Leadership from IE Business School, as well as an Internal Audit Degree, among other qualifications. She has extensive experience and a long track record in auditing, control and finance, having served as CFO, head of investment and board member at various financial companies and enterprises operating within the real estate, consumer and telecoms sectors, and at organisations such as Corporación ONCE. She has also accumulated a wealth of experience in corporate governance at international and listed companies, in relation to auditing, strategy and control; and in telecommunications, having previously sat on the board of JAZZTEL and currently serving as independent director at ORANGE Spain. She is also an independent director at MERLIN, where she chaired the audit committee for four years and amassed extensive international experience and knowledge of other markets. She has also sat on the board of BANCO EUROPEO DE FINANZAS (wholly-owned by Unicaja).
Fernando Francés Pons.
Mr Francés holds a degree in Mathematics (specialising in Statistics and Operations Research) from the Madrid Complutense University and has worked in the area of consulting for his whole professional career, in the area of technology and telecommunications, first at IBM (2 years) and then at Arthur Andersen, today Accenture (10 years).
In 1996, he founded DMR Consulting in Madrid, today named EVERIS, a company of which he was also chairman until he left in March 2018. EVERIS is a consulting services company that has grown from 1 to 23,000 employees over the 22 and a half years that Mr Francés was chairman. It has offices all across Spain, in Europe, Latin America and the USA.
